If you have grown tomotoes, you no doubt have encountered the larger green hornworm. These large catipillers can devour a tomatoe plant in no time, leaves fruit even the stems. Once they have eaten enough they turn into these very large moth. These large brown moths with yellow spots om their bodies are called by a few names; sphinx, hawk, or hummingbird moths. They are heavy-bodied, strong flying insects. They resemble hummingbirds in flight and they feed from deep-lobed flowers. Like many moths, hummingbird moths fly after dusk and are rarely observed
